1 package Refrigerated pie crust (Notes: (14 oz.))

1.5 cups Apple pie filling (Notes: (from a 21 oz. can or homemade))

1 unit Large egg (Notes: for egg wash)

2 tablespoons Coarse sugar (Notes: for sprinkling)
Instructions

1Unroll the pie crusts or roll out homemade crust to 1/8-inch thickness.

2Use a 4½ to 5-inch round cutter to cut circles from the crust.

3Place a few slices of apple and about 1½ tablespoons of pie filling juice on one half of each dough circle, leaving a ½-inch border.

4Whisk together the egg and a little water to make the egg wash.

5Brush the edges of each pie dough circle with the egg wash.

6Fold the empty half over the filling to create half circles and crimp the edges with a fork.

7Brush the tops with egg wash and cut three small slits for steam vents.

8Sprinkle with coarse sugar.

9Place 2 to 4 pies in the air fryer basket and air fry at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.

10Cool on a wire rack and serve warm.
