  • 1.5 tablespoons olive oil (Notes: Can use any neutral oil)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (Notes: To taste)
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper (Notes: To taste)
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder (Notes: Optional for flavor)
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika (Notes: Optional for flavor)
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili powder (Notes: Optional for flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon potato starch (Notes: Optional for extra crispiness)
  • grated parmesan (Notes: Optional for serving)
  • chopped parsley (Notes: Optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. 1
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
  2. 2
Cut each potato in half lengthwise, then cut each half into quarters to create wedges.
  3. 3
Soak the potato wedges in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch (optional).
  4. 4
Drain and pat the potato wedges dry with paper towels.
  5. 5
In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, and potato starch until evenly coated.
  6. 6
Place the potato wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. 7
Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  8. 8
Check for crispiness; if needed, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
  9. 9
Serve hot, topped with grated parmesan and chopped parsley if desired.

Tips & Variations:

  • Soaking the potatoes helps achieve a crispier texture.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
  • Experiment with different seasonings to suit your taste.
