Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets (Notes: Wild-caught or farm-raised salmon is fine.)
  • 0.25 cup Honey (Notes: Clear, runny honey is best.)
  • 3 teaspoons Chili paste (Notes: Can substitute with sriracha or red crushed pepper.)
  • 3 teaspoons Soy sauce (Notes: Adds salty flavor and balances sweetness.)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (Notes: Finely minced.)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil (Notes: For the glaze.)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (Notes: Grated, optional.)
  • Black pepper (Notes: To taste.)
  • Red pepper flakes (Notes: To taste, optional.)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds (Notes: For garnish, optional.)

Instructions

  1. 1
Pat salmon dry and season with kosher salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. 2
Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray and place the salmon fillets in the basket. Cook at 400 degrees F for 4 minutes.
  3. 3
While the salmon cooks, combine the honey, minced garlic, chili paste, and soy sauce. Taste it and adjust it to your liking.
  4. 4
Once the 4 minutes are up, brush the salmon fillets generously with the honey soy sauce. Cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  5. 5
Enjoy the salmon with extra honey sauce, if desired.

Tips & Variations:

  • Don’t overcook the salmon; 7 minutes at 400 degrees F is plenty.
  • Let the salmon rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with remaining honey sauce for extra flavor.
